Last year while visiting Brazil, I got to explore a little bit of Interior Design & Architecture in Sao Paulo. For those of us that have been spoiled by the luxuries of a first world country, visiting a third world country such as Brazil can be quite overwhelming. (Note to readers, I was born and raise in Brazil and moved to the USA when I was 14 yrs. old. After living in California for 20 yrs, going back was still like going to an unknown country. Although the culture shock wasn't as bad as I expected it was definitely present!)
My favorite spot in Sao Paulo is the Unique Hotel. It has a very out of the ordinary shape for a building, almost like a slice of watermelon on crutches w submarine windows. I'm sure the name Unique has something to do with it...

If you look closely, you can see the glass railing up above, that's where the party begins. It's a bar/lounge that over sees the crazy skyline of Sao Paulo.

Most American cities, downtown is defined by a cluster of high rises that you can easily spot while driving on the highway
In Sao Paulo, its a high rise jungle. You can't tell where it starts or where it ends.
This is just a tiny piece of the jungle...
