KAA Restaurant - Sao Paulo

One of the hottest restaurants in Sao Paulo is KAA. This beautiful restaurant was designed by Brazilian architect Arthur de Mattos Casas.

Kaa, means “jungle” in the Brazilian language of Tupi-GuaranĂ.

The modest and simple dark facade takes you into a shocking contrast of design, it makes you feel like you have traveled in time.

The restaurant's magnificent atmosphere delivers a feeling of airy relaxation.
This space features retractable high ceilings at main dining areas, massive green wall with more than 7,000 live plants, lounge area w. the bar being the main focus.

The stair case leads you to the restrooms and the private lounge @ Mezzanine

Unique Hotel - Hotel Lobby Lounge

I like this area a lot, the bar/lounge in the hotel lobby. The ceiling height and glass ceiling makes the space very open and inviting, giving plenty of natural light during the day , at night you can see see to the sky and enjoy the stars on a clear night.

The back wall display is prob 40+ ft. high and it has a huge selection of alcohol.

Unique Hotel - Sao Paulo, Brazil

Last year while visiting Brazil, I got to explore a little bit of Interior Design & Architecture in Sao Paulo. For those of us that have been spoiled by the luxuries of a first world country, visiting a third world country such as Brazil can be quite overwhelming. (Note to readers, I was born and raise in Brazil and moved to the USA when I was 14 yrs. old. After living in California for 20 yrs, going back was still like going to an unknown country. Although the culture shock wasn't as bad as I expected it was definitely present!)

My favorite spot in Sao Paulo is the Unique Hotel. It has a very out of the ordinary shape for a building, almost like a slice of watermelon on crutches w submarine windows. I'm sure the name Unique has something to do with it...

If you look closely, you can see the glass railing up above, that's where the party begins. It's a bar/lounge that over sees the crazy skyline of Sao Paulo.

Most American cities, downtown is defined by a cluster of high rises that you can easily spot while driving on the highway
In Sao Paulo, its a high rise jungle. You can't tell where it starts or where it ends.
This is just a tiny piece of the jungle...
